Relationships over Politics: Online Living Room Conversation

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time of family gatherings where we reunite with loved ones and celebrate our blessings. But it is no secret that the holiday meals often devolve into tense debates about politics, lifestyles, and varying perspectives? Particularly in these divisive times, many people are dreading the upcoming holidays and wondering whether it is wise to attend the annual family festivities.

In such a climate, Living Room Conversations is offering a timely online dialogue entitled "Relationships over Politics: Connecting with Friends & Family."

Join in for this free online (using Zoom) Living Room Conversation this Friday, November 2, 2018, from 9:00am – 10:30am PDT (adjust for your time zone). Some of the questions explored include:

  • What are your early memories of talking politics with family or friends? What things went well? Was there anything difficult?

  • What assumptions do you think those close to you may be making about your political identity?
